Branding

In addition to UX design, I work with clients to transform abstract concepts into visually compelling and cohesive brand logos.

The client wanted a logo that felt elegant, inviting, and familial. She requested to have the color purple in the logo, as well as her favorite flower, the plumeria flower.

To keep it simple and elegant, I chose to merge her requests of purple and plumeria together. I wanted them to be accent colors to the logotype, and decided to place them on the edges to help create a rectangular outline.

To represent her brand, I chose a large cursive font that was thin and dynamic in weight to convey the true nature of cursive's elegance - its slant and differed weighted points. To create an elegant contrast, a smaller, thin font was used with .3em for kerning. This allowed the tagline to be subtle but relevant.

The client was looking to update and modernize their previous logo as part of a website redesign. The client requested that I add 'The' and 'Nonprofit' for copyright reasons.

To convey the purpose of the business, I kept the planet but made it smaller and more integrated to compliment the text without being overpowering. I also changed the original colors to only hues of purple to create a minimal and sleek aesthetic.

I wanted the logo to be more sophisticated, so I used a clean, modern, san-serif font. The thin, minimalistic typeface conveys a sense of precision and high-tech sophistication, aligning with a futuristic or space-related theme. I positioned 'non-profit' subtly on a second line to add dynamic hierarchy.

The running group wanted a new shirt design that captured the essence of sunrise trail runs - peace, beauty, camaraderie. Without direction, I drafted different styles of the print until I was able to create a vector image of a favorite running view.

I referenced photos of a specific view point to keep it recognizable. Though I was aiming for a monotone background, the sunrise was widely requested as it was a key feature of what people enjoyed during the run.
