As a former volunteer at the San Francisco SPCA, Jung knew she wanted to become a well-educated and responsible pup parent. Jung soon began her journey as a dog-trainer to help educate other pup parents of positive reinforcement methods to guide healthy relationships between themselves and their pup.

After speaking with Jung and doing preliminary research, her website objectives included displaying her services (training and photography) and booking consultation calls. I kept these objectives in mind while creating outlining the steps to reach her business goals.

We discussed attributes she wanted her brand to be: empathetic, caring, playful, non-judgemental, nurturing, and mindful. I conducted a feature analysis with four competitors she admired, and focused on color scheme, font choices, layouts, interfaces. Keeping Squarespace constraints in mind, I came up with a mood board to guide text and color choices.

Starting a new brand, I wanted to implement a fun, lighthearted voice in the copy to reflect her branding system. I tried to captivate the audience on the Home page with a short, relatable scenario that would invoke anxiety and feeling understood. I played with alliteration in larger text, and included cute titles such as 'pup-tastic' where I could.

I decided to have Jung's 3-step consultation process as a section of the Home page, and starting the Training page. The types of training services followed so that users understood the options that were available to them after for the consultation.

I'd also be interested in what part of the website (Home, Training, About, etc) makes the most impact on her business.
